Find articles in specialized databases

In addition to CLIO Articles +, you could try to search for articles, including book reviews or interviews, in databases such as:

  • Bibliography of Indigenous Peoples in North America, a bibliographic database covering all aspects of Indigenous culture, history, and life in North America. This resource covers a wide range of topics including archaeology, education, the gaming industry, religion, folklore, economic development, acculturation, mythology, missions, tribal governments, and ethnohistory.
  • MLA International Bibliography, an index of materials on literature, languages, linguistics, and folklore from worldwide publications, including periodicals, books, essay collections, working papers, proceedings, dissertations and bibliographies.
  • Proquest, a place where you can search for articles from newspapers published several centuries ago or just a week ago, as well as a range of academic journals in varied research areas.
