Archives and Creative Writing

First lesson module of three on creative writing on archives. This one introduces the concept of archives and how they can connect to creative writing, including some examples of poetry that have used archives as source material. Can be used as a stand alone lesson or in concert with the latter two.

Second lesson module of three on creative writing on archives. This one introduces digital archives and finding aids, and gives a writing assignment where students can explore either the Barnard Archives' Digital Collections or the New York Public Library's Digital Collections. Can be used as a stand alone lesson or in concert with the other two lessons.

Third lesson module of three on creative writing on archives. This one provides resources and prompts for envisioning a more in depth writing project that makes use of archives. Can be used as a stand alone lesson or in concert with the other two lessons.
