WMST 4308 Sexualities and Science

Welcome

Hi. I am Liam, I'm the Librarian for Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.

This guide highlights resources  that I hope will be helpful for your research in this course including databases, popular science magazines and more scholarly journals,  along with some tips for searching, citing and writing.  This guide is intended to be a jumping off point. If you would like to have a deeper conversation about your research, please Book a Research Consultation with me.

Journals

The links below are to the CLIO record for the journals, to access them, look for links on the right hand side of the screen. You can search CLIO directly for e-journals by title, keyword, subject, or ISSN. For example, you can search for journals that have the word "sexuality" in the title.

Medical Databases

PubMed is the National Library of Medicine's online database for searching MEDLINE and additional biomedical and life sciences literature. It is one of the most up to date, comprehensive and powerful databases for finding scholarly literature in biomedicine. Some full text is available. There are three different interfaces to the same data: MEDLINE in EBSCOhost | MEDLINE in Ovid | MEDLINE in Web of Science.
