Generating a Researchable Question and Keywords and Phrases

Here are some elements to keep in mind as you generate a question that is researchable:

  • Does your question have a temporal, spatial, and/or conceptual definition? (In other words: are you defining what you are researching in terms of a scope of time, a spatial location or set of locations, and/or a concept or problem)?
  • Does your question connect to a record that you can follow through time?
